Privacy Policy

Soundprint is a page for the albums and tracks you love. This policy explains what we collect to run it, who helps us run it, and how to delete your data. We don’t sell your data, show ads, or use tracking or analytics tools.

What we collect

• From your Google account, when you sign in: Google shares your email address, name and profile photo with our sign-in provider. We use your email only to identify your account; we don’t put your Google name or photo on your profile. You choose your own username, name and photo. We never see your Google password.
• What you add to your profile: your username, name, bio, accent colour, social links, photo, and the albums and tracks you add.
• Links you paste: to find an album or track, we look up the link with Apple’s iTunes catalog, Spotify and YouTube. We keep a record of each link and what it matched, but not who pasted it.
• Technical data: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.

What’s public

Your profile page is public: anyone with the link can see your username, name, bio, photo, social links and favorites, and search engines may show it. Your email address is never shown.

Cookies and storage

We use cookies only to keep you signed in. Your light or dark mode choice is saved in your browser. Google’s sign-in button, loaded from Google on the sign-in page, may set its own cookies under Google’s privacy policy.

Who helps us run Soundprint

• Supabase stores your account and profile and handles sign-in.
• Cloudflare stores profile photos you upload and runs our domain.
• DigitalOcean hosts the website.
• Google provides sign-in.
• Apple, Spotify and YouTube receive the music links you paste so we can identify them. They don’t receive your account details.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and profile until you delete them. When you delete your account, your profile, favorites, uploaded photo and sign-in record are removed straight away. Backups held by our providers are overwritten on their normal schedule.

Your choices

You can edit everything on your profile at any time, and delete your account from Settings. For anything else, including a copy of your data, email [email protected].

Children

Soundprint isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has made an account, email us and we’ll remove it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date above and, for big changes, let signed-in members know.
